angkritgallery is proud to present the artist's first ChiangRai exhibition THE POST-SUPERHUMANITY,. This show features a new body of work.
On view through May 23, the exhibition including a large-scale mixed media, painting and sculpture never-before-seen.

Kosit Juntaratip Born in 1971 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Multi-media / performance artist. Lives and works in Chiang Mai. Studied Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University from 1989-1993. From 1997-2003 Studied Audiovisual Media (Media Art) at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and Media Arts / Photography at the Academy of Visual Art in Leipzig Germany. His artistic work includes painting / drawing, performances, installations, video, computer work, photography and film provoked with Thai contemporary art history. Has had a number of group and individual exhibitions since 1992-present. In 1994 he marriages with sex doll (Lily Ovary) in Chiang Mai First Church on Valentine's day, and in the end of the year he took out his blood in his performance and post photography called ?Kosit's Blood in Alphabet of LOVE? and ?HAPPY BIRTHDAY 24, 1994? at Ideal Art Gallery in Bangkok. During that times he was one of founder the social events (Chiang Mai Social Installation and Week of Suffering) with Uthit Atimana, Mitra Jai-Inn and Navin Rawanchaikul. In 1997 the year before he left to Germany, he worked in collaboration with Rirkrit Tiravanitja and Navin Rawanchaikul to bring Chiang Mai residents cross in hybridity culture at Tapae Gate, Chiang Mai. Their works includes ?Love Dancing Party?, Untitled (Slide Pork Salad Cooking) and ?Mu-Hao-Look-Kao-Nung? (we are the son of sticky rice). During six years in Germany he experiments many concept with digital / analog process, recently he has his solo exhibition called KISS at BUG in Bangkok. In Chiang Mai he organizes projects with his students called ?Quark the experimental?. Since 2004 Kosit Juntaratip has been Lecturer of Media Art at the Media Arts and Design, Chiang Mai University.
