Locution-(re)-locations... by Phaptawan Suwannakudt

100 Tonson Gallery proudly presents “Locution-(re)-locations...” the solo exhibition by Phaptawan Suwannakudt, Thai artist based in Sydney, Australia, who creates several artworks in various cultural spaces. This exhibition will offer the concept of the outsider who lives in the different places which hard to carry on the role of being. The exhibition will be on view from 19 May – 10 July, 2011.



Phaptawan Suwannakudt graduated from Silpakorn University, Thailand with a degree in English and German and completed her MVA degree at Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney. She has worked extensively on several full-scale temple schemes and hotel decoration projects in Thailand during 1980s to 1990s. Phaptawan has applied her ideas, practices from experiences and gain the influences and talent from her father. She comes back to her hometown to show selected artworks which have been created during 7 years (the second half of her staying in Sydney for 14 years). Several paintings and object installation will be shown in this exhibition.
Exhibition Period: 19 May – 10 July, 2011 (every Thursday – Sunday)
The opening reception will be on Thursday May 19th , 2011 at 7 pm onward
