“Ars Longa, Vita Brevis” by Bhensine Nilavadhanananda

Galerie N is pleased to invite you to visit our new exhibition

“Ars Longa, Vita Brevis”
By Bhensine Nilavadhanananda
February 24 – March 24, 2011
Opening reception on Thursday, February 24, 2011, 6 pm. @Galerie N

Most of Bhensine’s paintings depict landscapes in many countries.
It is obvious that Bhensine does not mean to depict reality but
to concentrate more on the harmonic relation of things presented in the frame,
The highlight of her works lies in the use of colors that reflect the mastering of color technique.
One can feel the artist’s freedom in applying color to respond to her own imagination and feelings,
resulting from both external and internal perception.
Bhensine Nilavadhanananda has become well know around the art circle of Thailand
in the 15 years through 6 of her individual exhibition and several others jointly displayed with her fellow artist friends.

SYMBIOSIS by Alongkorn Lauwattana

SYMBIOSIS
By Alongkorn Lauwattana
22 June 2010
Opening Reception: Thursday ,22 June 2010, 7pm @Galerie N on Withayu Rd.

SYMBIOSIS is the latest exhibition by the well- respected artist Alongkorn Lauwatthana. Rooted in Buddhist thoughts, his works reflect the maturation of his beliefs and as depicted in his earlier projects, he seeks to explore and convey the message that everything in the world is all ONE, interconnected and that everything depends upon and coexists with each other. Light needs darkness, flowers needs bees… all mankind belong into a brotherhood, where man and woman become one, where they complete and enhance each other. Man is light; woman is shadow and they merge together to complement each other in opposite ways. Within humans the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, body and spirit all perform different functions, yet these function when tied together contribute to make us human… our strength and weakness are intertwined…if we look close we’ll see that which we thought was disparate actually create harmony and balance in the world in which we live.

In this series of work, the artist experiences his thoughts through vivid forms and colours that intertwine with all the elements; they show the inseparable relationship of things in the world.
“Life and the world are cyclical, nothing is permanent, there is rise and fall, birth and sickness, glory and defeat… and the laws of nature that keep everything in balance.”

The Truth of Time, the Illusion of Relationship by Witsanupong Noonan

“The Truth of Time, the Illusion of Relationships”
An art exhibition by Witsanupong Noonan
26 April – 26 May 2010
Opening reception is on Monday 26 April 2010, @ Galerie N
on Withayu Rd.

“The Truth of Time, the Illusion of Relationship”

is the first solo exhibition by new artist Witsanupong Noonan.

The boundless imagination of Witsanupong straddles the juncture between painting and sculpture, with color and volume seemingly engaged in dialogue. Witsanupong is interested in the conditions and influences of time, the truth of every increment of time representing an overlap between bonds of the past, the present and the future.

Witsanupong produces his work by painting on a sculpted background, which creates a dimensional optical illusion. He begins by looking at empty spaces, objects, people and events, then translates them into a story told through painting and sculpture over time.
Witsanupong Noonan’s creative powers have brought him wide acclaim. His works have won several awards, including bronze medal honors at the 55th National Exhibition of Art and the 26th Exhibition of Contemporary Art by Young Artists.
