The artist, Tanachai Ekuruchaitep , portrays his fascination with Eastern philosophy and culture . In this exhibition he recalls the ancient Chinese scripts, containing the blessings and symbols that promised to repel evil spirits and bring about happiness, fortune and prosperity. Immersion amongst these symbols in his childhood is reflected in his paintings and the life power and strength promised by belief in these symbols is present in his works.

The Transit of Eros by Apolinario Cruz



Pol Cruz was born in the province of Bulacan, the Philippines on the 19 July 1960. He travelled around South East Asia and eventually settled in Australia in 1980. He now resides at a farming property in Bogan Gate, Central West NSW, Australia.

Largely self taught, he also attended the University of the Philippines, the San Francisco Art Institute and the Ceramic at Orange TAFE, NSW, Australia. He is presently an art time teacher at the TAFE Institute and holds classes and workshops at primary and high school levels in both public and private schools in NSW. Pol works in a variety of mediums including canvas, paints, paper, clay, and found and recycled objects. He has exhibited widely in both public and private galleries in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and provincial cities and towns in Australia; in Paris and Nice, in France: in San Francisco and Napa Valley in California, USA.
